Welcome to Șura-n Bucate, our local gastronomic venue set in an authentic barn, offering a spacious and inviting atmosphere for relaxation and dining. Featuring traditional elements paired with modern amenities, it is open daily for our guests until midnight.
Capacity: Șura-n Bucate accommodates 45–50 guests indoors, complemented by an outdoor terrace in the garden. For larger outdoor events, the venue can host up to 300 guests.
Our local cuisine is expertly crafted by Sarah, our family’s creative cook, under the meticulous guidance of Chef Daniela Graura—celebrated throughout Făgăraș for her ability to revive ancient recipes and create new culinary experiences.
Smooth Operations: Our team ensures a seamless experience, with cooking and service provided by dedicated local women from our village and neighboring communities.
Authentic Culinary Delights: At Șura-n Bucate, you can enjoy traditional recipes from the Făgăraș region. Delight in fresh vegetables from our garden, Nea Moise’s artisanal cheeses, bread baked in our hand-crafted oven, and other homemade specialties that capture the essence of rural life.
Weekend Dining: The barn is open to the public only on weekends, and reservations are required to ensure efficient resource management and personalized service.
Guest Meals: For our guests, breakfast is included in the room rate, with lunch and dinner available upon request. The barn’s kitchen is also well-equipped to host private events for several dozen guests.
Dining Spaces: We offer both indoor and outdoor dining options, especially during the summer months. For our Gospodăria Cobor’s guests, we provide a special dining area to ensure privacy even when the barn is open to the public.
Special Arrangements: We can organize romantic moments in our accommodation spaces and picnics in various picturesque spots around the property or nearby.
