Nestled between Brașov and Sibiu, near the renowned village of Viscri, stands a quiet village where Silviu and Camelia sought refuge from the bustling city life.
Their journey began with the purchase of a single house, soon followed by six more, paving the way for what is now Gospodăria Cobor. These houses, uninhabited for many years, were rich in charm and tradition but sadly marked by neglect.
The restoration of these houses and barns commenced in 2018 and continues today. With a deep respect for authenticity, every effort was made to preserve the original architecture and regional colors, reusing each beam, nail, and tile wherever possible. The entire community was engaged in this endeavor: the village blacksmith, carpenters, and skilled artisans, all proud to contribute to this extraordinary project.
In 2023, after countless hours of dedicated labor, they opened their doors to the first guests. The barn, with windows as vast as their dreams, and the two quaintly restored stables, now stand as sanctuaries of charm, offering a serene haven for those seeking the heart of Transylvanian hospitality.

Our local cuisine is curated by Sarah, the creative talent of our family, under the meticulous guidance of Chef Daniela Graura—celebrated throughout the Făgăraș region and beyond for her expertise in reviving ancient recipes and crafting new flavors.
Guests enjoy a complimentary breakfast, with lunch and dinner available upon request. The spacious kitchen in the barn also accommodates private events, comfortably catering to several dozen guests.
You will be enchanted by the fresh vegetables from our garden, Nea Moise’s artisanal cheeses, the golden bread baked in our hand-crafted oven, and all the delightful homemade treasures that embody the heart and soul of rural life.

Gospodăria Cobor is a charming ensemble of houses, barns, and stables that have become a favored destination for many visitors. Here, the legend of Dracula is merely a ghost of British literature. We are not pet-friendly, as we already have two dogs who freely roam the grounds
Our accommodations are for adults only. However, children are welcome at Șura-n Bucate Restaurant on weekends when the restaurant is open to non-residents.
